What can I say? It's my life, it's my times. Welcome.

From the slumber I awaken

well, it was not so much a slumber, but a loooooong stretch of hellish work (largely absent of slumber), from which I failed to steal a few minutes even in order to escape to the delightfully refreshing recesses provided by my humble blog abode.

However, one thing, and one thing alone, did provoke my triumphant (albeit brief -- yes, more shit is already beckoning) return. And that one thing is the pure genius that is Southpark.

If, like me, you have been under a rock for the past two weeks, you still know about the Schiavo case (and hopefully you know with certainty how to spell her name -- I don't as I am proud to say I haven't read a single article about it. Yup, not a single one. Is that repugnant in some sense? Very much so. But I am aware of the issues of the case -- and others similar -- I know my own beliefs, and I don't care to participate in or fuel in any way the media circus that has enveloped all you peons. Or really, I just don't have the time or interest; I'd rather watch sports, sad as that may be. Condemn me.)

Yet, there is one arena in which I quickly and readily succumbed to the Schiavo fever. That's right, Southpark. If you haven't seen the episode, you're, in Cartman's words, "lame." It's got Schiavo, it's got LOTR, it's got Dogma, it's got Heaven, it's got Hell, and most importantly, it's got Keanu Reeves. Whoa.

How much more awesome can it get? None. None more awesome.

I agree that South Park doesn't get the comedic appreciation that it deserves.

On so many levels it borders upon pure genius. I mean they can't take anyting from "You've Got Served" to the Terry Schiavo case and make great satire out of it.

They firmly get across their message all while being funny. Our generation is lucky to have two of the greatest satires (is that a word, satirest?) ever!

We should do a post about our favorite south park's.
